BBQ was a great success! (other than the bloody drizzle at first..)

Thanks to all those who helped with the organising, and those who contributed food and other stuff. Especially Zijian who was a Doraemon! And of course, all those who turned up!

For those who didn't, too bad you missed out on all the fun. LOL.
Note from editor: We sincerely apologise if some of you might have been informed either at the last minute, or were not specifically informed in person. I'll try to avoid such incidents in the future, but please remember to check this class blog occasionally for updates, as it is the cheapest and most convenient method of spreading the message around. If there are any special requests for updates of another form please do inform Guoyong personally thanks.

Reminder, please drink lotsa water after taking all the heaty bbq food, and take care of yourselves cause you guys were caught in the rain. See you guys again!

Step #1 Locate VJC on the map. Still can't find it? It's to the right of HDB Marine Parade Estate and to the left of Neptune Court.

Step #2 Move your eyes downwards slowly from VJC and you will see a white circle with some orange thing in the middle, below it saying "33-35". It is beside the toilet sign. THIS IS OUR PIT.

hey guys. this is just an update on the chalet idea. i've checked the chalets for aloha loyang and changi. it's fully booked for the period of 24th-29th nov. didn't check december as i know that some of the guys will be in NS by then. so any suggestions for the next class outing? :)

chalet would be good if any of you guys could wrangle a day. otherwise a dinner or an outing out wouldn't be too bad either. how about a mahjong session. or if you guys are okay, a trip overseas will be pretty good too! the faster the ideas flow, the faster we can play!

till then. cheers.

Okay. Here's according to SA and TJ's prediction..

Kinematics (Projectile Motion)
probably with
Dynamics (Newton's Laws)

All fields, especially Gravitational Field

Ideal Gases + First Law of Thermodynamics

Electromagnetic Induction + Electromagnetism

Superposition (Diffraction Grating) + Stationary Waves

Analogue Electronics + Kirchoff's Laws

Nuclear Physics (Binding Energy) w/o Radioactivity

Quantum Physics (Line Spectrum)

Charged particles dynamics esp. Motion in e-field with projectiles, oil drops.

Have fun, it's gonna be over for most of you tomorrow! =)

Blahx... since someone requested for the topics that didnt come out in Paper 2, no one's making a post on it, and I'm bored anyway, so here I shall list down... may not be a complete list though, only those that I can think of haha.. =/

G. and E. field
Thermo (1st law of Thermodynamics didnt realli come out)
Ideal gases
Electromagnetic Induction(EMI)
Kinematics....?
Op-Amp
Energy Level

tt's all I can think of I guess... feel free to fill me and the rest of us in ^^

Noticed that poor Guoyong is the only one uploading entries, so here's one in case you guys are bored of him! =P

I'm sure by know you guys would also have discussed and roughly figured out what are the pure maths topics for Paper 2. Here's a rough guide just in case. :)

Curve Sketching
Numerical Methods
Application of Integration (Area and Volume/ Trapezium Rule)
Inequalities
Maclaurin Series

Since I'm already here. Good luck to all! :)

cheers,
ness

SO... how was maths :)

Noticed that potentially disasterous questions were the complex numbers (2nd one) and the last part of the EITHER, question 14. Fear not people, for there will always be a bell curve, and all you need to do is plant your backside firmly on the centre. 70 or 100, Nobody will know how well you did for it is just the A that counts.

For those who thought it was easy, think again. Dihua's theory of difficulty state that there are two real and distinct roots when
f(x) = easy, assuming you are smart.
1. You are really damn smart.
2. You got tricked by the questions.
Hence, solving f(x) we get (smart ± tricked)

fyi: our dear Ruoci mentioned to me after the paper that it was easy.. 0.o

Next up, maths paper 2 and computing paper 1 on thursday. All the best =D
